How to use the Online Pomodoro Timer

The Pomodoro Technique is a productivity method used worldwide. It consists of a time management system composed of 25-minute focus periods, accompanied by short and long breaks. The traditional Pomodoro cycle consists of the following steps:

  1. 25 minutes of focus
  2. Short break of 5 minutes
  3. 25 minutes of focus
  4. Short break of 5 minutes
  5. 25 minutes of focus
  6. Short break of 5 minutes
  7. 25 minutes of focus
  8. Long break of 15 minutes
  9. Repeat

Using the Pomodoro Timer is simple and intuitive. By clicking on "Focus", the timer will be set to 25 minutes. When you click on "Start", it will initiate. You can "Reset" or "Stop" the time. At the end of the period, you will hear the alarm sound. Start a short or long break (depending on your stage in the cycle) by clicking on the appropriate buttons. To place a custom time range, just fill in the blank space above the main buttons, click on "Set" and then "Start". Do not forget to select the desired time unit (seconds, minutes or hours).

The Pomodoro Timer works with minimized apps, inactive tabs and with the phone in sleep mode. The elapsed time will not be interrupted when you minimize your browser or when you turn off your device screen. Delays may occur in this last option, and, therefore, it is recommended to be cautious with its use.
